Life is fleeting & so unpredictable; yet wonderful memories abound & linger in our hearts when one - SO LOVED - transitions! So it is with Bertha: my Precious Sister-in-Christ, College Mate, Soror, "Aunt" to my children & Trusted Friend. From our youthful days at Livingstone College (NC), to magical years bonding as "pioneer" UNCF Black teachers (Upstate, NY), to SC vacations, visitations (GA), to worship & fellowship (most recently Jan. 19, 2020), we truly ENJOYED our God-given time together! We were able to comfort one another during times of bereavement (my husband Terry, her son Marcus). My deepest condolences to the entire family, especially her cherished grandchildren. May God multiply unto you the love, grace, mercy, comfort, strength and peace He showered on Bertha. "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints" (Psalm 116:15).
