The funeral services for the late Mr. Jesse Lee Jones, Sr., who departed this life on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Services will be streamed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home" Facebook page.

Mr. Jesse Lee Jones, Sr., was born on April 5, 1957 in Sylvester, Georgia, to the late Mr. David Lee Jones, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruthie Lee Clark.

He attended schools in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from Worth County High School.

Jesse worked as a machine operator at Birdsong Peanut Company in Sylvester, Georgia.

Jesse gave up this busy walk of life on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. His parents and a brother, David Lee Jones, Jr., have all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory six children, Jocelyn (Brian), Jessie (Charlotte), Julius (Shatamula), Jerome (Jessica), Shakilya (Ladarius), Davian; a stepdaughter, Quatessa Hamilton; fifteen grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Jones (Curtis); eight nieces and nephews, Terrell, Reginald (Kelli), Kebia (Chris), Tomeka (Sanchez), Venecia (Trevor), Ken, Christopher, Melvin; a best friend, Jennifer Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends.
