Obituary For Vera Russell

Vera Cobb Russell age 76 of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Atrium Health Lincolnton. She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on February 1, 1944 to the late Preston Fletcher Cobb and Artie Farley Cobb. She was married to the late George Russell.

She was a 1962 graduate of Newbold High School and attended Shaw University for two years. She retired from Delta Apparel after twenty five years of service. She was a member of Greater Works Deliverance Ministry Survivors are her daughter, Katrina Russell of Lincolnton, North Carolina, one step daughter, Lisa Rivers of Burlington, North Carolina, one grandson, Caleb Russell, two grandchildren, True Russell and Terrius Russell

Funeral Service is Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebony & White’s Funeral Service. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service in the chapel. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Due to COVID 19 everyone is asked to wear masks. Burial is private.

Hello grandma from your beloved grandson there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you me and my family as a whole especially your grandchildren. There's also not a Sunday that doesn't go by that I don't think of a delicious meal that you will prepare for us. Vera was a childhood friend. My brother, David, and I spent many wonderful hours playing with Vera, Tot, and Nimmy in their yard. The Cobb family were wonderful neighbors when we were all growing up. It was nice to read of Vera's nickname, Hood. I remember Miss Artis calling her that so many times. My sympathies to Vera's family and to the whole Cobb family.
