PLAISANCE - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Mohorn Baptist Church in Plaisance, LA for Mrs. Ora Lene Thomas, 88, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at her residence in Plaisance, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Nicholas Thomas, Pastor of Mohorn Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Thomas leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, Murphy Thomas (Anita), Elton Thomas, III (Latasha) and Brian Thomas, Sr. (Winona), all of Opelousas, LA, Kenny Wayne Thomas of Lake Charles, LA and James Thomas (Mena) of Beaumont, TX; five daughters, Rose Thierry (Walter, Jr.) and Jacqueline Andrus (Errol), both of Beaumont, TX, Sarah Washington (Darnell) of Opelousas, LA, Linda Thomas (Marshall) of Lafayette, LA and OraDell Tezeno (Louis, Sr.) of Dallas, TX; one brother, Issac Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Martha Blake (Joe) of Houston, TX; three daughters-in-law, Mary Milburn Thomas, Anna Wheeler Thomas and Shirley Ware, all of Opelousas, LA; her Godchild, Joubert Harris (Linda) of Baton Rouge, LA; thirty-four grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Elton Thomas, Jr.; her parents, Ogden Johnson and Sarah Eaglin; three sons, Mark Anthony Ware, Lee Thomas and Floyd Thomas; four brothers, Herman, Ivory, Ervin and Andrew; two sisters, Hazel and Louverdia; one grandson, Ketni Thomas; and one great granddaughter, Kalani Princess Tezeno.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mohorn Baptist Church.
