Obituary For Mother Eloise Jenkins Williams

On November 1, 1925 in Fort Pierce, FL the joy of life of Eloise Jenkins was given to the late Harrison and Mattie Norris Jenkins.

Eloise was one of ten children that attended the public schools of Saint Lucie County from the Jenkins' family.

Eloise was a baby sitter and enjoyed being a domestic housewife.

Eloise was a woman of very few words, but when asked of her opinion, her reply was, "I will take it to the Lord in prayer."

Eloise was reared in a christian home where her faith allowed her to seek a relationship with Jesus Christ for herself. Eloise decided to follow Christ by sharing the love of God with those who were lost. She was also a mighty prayer warrior.

Eloise had a chance to share love and marriage with Alvoid Williams. After the dissolution of this marriage, she then shared love and love and marriage with Joe Lettingham. Between this union of marriage, nine children were born.

After her commitment with serving the Lord in spirit and in truth, she became connected with Jesus is Lord International World Wide Ministries under the leadership of the late Dr. Lena Bates. Eloise served as the Church Mother.

On September 13, 2020 at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach, FL, Eloise recieved her dischard call to come home and take her rest. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Louise W. Brown; parents, Harrison and mattie Jenkins; ex-husband, Joe Lettingham; siblings, Harrison G. Jenkins, Cleveland Jenkins, Louise Ingram, emmanuel Jenkins, Nathaniel Jenkins, Nathalee Freeman-Dotson, Altamease Parker, Mattie Mae O'Bryant, and Joseph Jenkins.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Bobbie Jean Williams, Joycie Williams, Juanita W. Funderburk, Eloise W. Lundy, and Carlethe L. Brown; sons, Joe Cal Lettingham, Betrand Lettingham, Glenn Lettingham; 36 grandchildren; 127 great grand children, 41 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, church family, co-workers, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Mother Eloise Williams will take place on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm. A celebration of her life will convene on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00am also at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Fort Pierce, FL.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
