Mr. Thomas L. Mitchell, 55, of Walnut Cove, NC died September 23, 2020. A public viewing will be Monday, September 28, 2020 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will have a private funeral service that will stream at 12 noon Tuesday, September 29,2020 on a link on the funeral home website.

On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC our loved one, Thomas Lee Mitchell “T.L” transitioned to his heavenly home. He was born April 5, 1965 to Dewey V. Mitchell and Mary Alice Welch both of Walnut Cove, NC. Thomas graduated from South Stokes High School in 1983. He always spoke words of wisdom and his high spirit of the Lord. He was a hardworking child of God that done everything he could to inspire others around him. He loved cleaning and remodeling his vehicles, pin striping vehicles was a passion. “T.L” attended Forsyth Tech for law enforcement and became a Jailer. He also had many talents and could do about anything.

Thomas leaves to cherish: his one true love; Dianna Mitchell, daughters; Kimberly Mitchell, Crystal Mitchell both of Walnut Cove, NC, grandsons; David Mitchell and Cameron Mitchell both of Walnut Cove, NC, sisters; Marilyn Booe, Lillie Goolsby, Sarah Fulton (Rodney) all of Walnut Cove, NC, brothers; Dewey Mitchell, Charles Welch (Mavena) both of Walnut Cove, NC, Velvin Mitchell (Ramona) of Eden, NC, aunts; Lillie King, Essie Joyce both of Walnut Cove, NC, Grace Pooley, Emma J. Williams of Winston Salem, NC, Barbara Tyner, Ida Dalton both of Stokesdale, NC, uncle; Willie Mitchell (Elizabeth), sisters-in-law; Lorriane Barr (Sytfon), Kasandra Smith, Ava Smith, Teresa Carter, Carla Smith, brothers-in-law; Bryant Smith, Bernard Carter, Shane Smith, Shandon Smith, Tracy Smith, Lando Smith, mother-in-law; Iris Smith, best friend; Doug Davis, Robert Love and James Bryant and along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
