Obituary Mr. Willie James Douglas, Jr., son of the late Willie Douglas, Sr. and the late Martha Jones Douglas, was born May 9, 1943 in Norlina, NC. He departed this life September 21, 2020 at his residence, Chase City, VA.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the former West End High School.

On April 3, 1970 he married Ruby Tatum and to this union they were blessed with two children. A grand-daughter, Kennedi Douglas, preceded him in death.

He was self-employed as a Brick Mason for many years until his death began to decline.

In his spare time he enjoyed doing “little brick projects,” visiting with family and friends; he also loved going to the local baseball games and just riding around for pleasure. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his children, teaching them how to become a better person.
