Obituary For Mr. Willie Smith, Sr.

Mr. Willie Smith of Geneva, Fl and formerly of Jackson County, FL entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 25, 2020 in the Orlando Regional Medical Center, He was 77 years old.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of the family business Smith's Floor Maintenance from 1979 until his retirement at which he then turned the business over to his son and it is still in operation today.

He leaves treasured memories with his wife, Emma Mae Smith of Geneva, Florida; two sons, Willie Smith, Jr. and wife Kesha of Sanford, Florida and Reginald Smith and wife Kamesha of Geneva, Florida; one daughter, LaSandra Smith Cooper and husband Garnell of Geneva, Florida; four sisters, Mary Hearn of Greenwood, Florida, Florizell Smith, Uzell Lewis and Sylone Robinson all of Grand Ridge, Florida; his mother-in-law, Lettie C. White of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws and friends.

A public viewing will be held Friday, October 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.

A homegoing celebration will be held graveside 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3rd at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Elder Theartis Perry, Sr. of New Zion P. B. Church of Sanford, FL, Rev. Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Rev. John Smith and Rev. Hu-Man Smith officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.

My favorite memory of my brother was the last time we worked together on my daddy's farm. This was right before he moved to New Jersey. I am so sorry for our family loss. Rest In Peace brother. Love Sylvia.
