Mr. Reginald Darnell Hamm

Mr. Reginald Darnell Hamm was born full of life April 14, 1996 and departed his earthly home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2020. Mr. Hamm, affectionately known as “Darnell”, was the son of Rev. Reginald and Mrs. LouAnne Hamm of Barnesville, GA. Being raised in the church, Darnell accepted Christ at an early age. He was dedicated and attended Sand Hill CME Church of Barnesville, participating in the children’s ministries. He would later join the Holy Ground Ministries of Thomaston, GA. He continued to attend worship throughout his adulthood at the Rock Spring Baptist Church of Milner, GA. He had strong faith in God, a gifted mind, and a heart of gold - always willing to help others. Darnell attended and completed his school career in the Lamar County School System. Being a proud Trojan, Darnell graduated from the Lamar County Comprehensive High School in 2014. He was a lifetime sportsman, participating in football, baseball, track and field from a young age. He won many achievement awards along his journey in academics and sports. Darnell was known for not ruffing his opponents, but to just beat them in the race. He enjoyed working, training and traveling with the college baseball team of Gordon College and being coached in little league by his dad. His favorite collegiate and pro teams were the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons. Darnell went on to establish a working career in industrial design. He had a love for his work in the field of welding and enjoyed his time working with the management and co-workers of Inclusive Property Management Company, McDonough, GA. One of his goals in life was to establish a business of his own. He was an adventurous and innovative person who was always seeking ways to build himself. He was a person who was fun, loving, and full of life. He cherished the friendships and relationships he gained from teachers, mentors, and co-workers. Darnell was proceeded in death by his beloved grandparents, Mr. Wilbur Hamm and Mrs. Annie K. Hamm of Barnesville, GA, and Mr. Roy and Mrs. Clara Freeman of Forsyth, GA. Darnell leaves to cherish his life and legacy is his beloved daughter Cloe Hamm and fiancée’ Brooke Martin; loving parents Rev. Reginald and LouAnne Hamm; mother and father in-law, Brent and Missy Martin of Griffin, GA; three loving sisters, Kirsten Chatman and Deidra Hamm of Barnesville, GA, and Jessica Hamm of Covington, GA; sister-in-law, Brianna Martin of Griffin, GA; three loving brothers, Michael Harris (Janet) and Christopher Harris of Thomaston, GA, and Miguel Elder (Tamia) of Fayetteville GA; nieces, Mickayla Gabriel, Ariah and Aleyah Jenkins and Skylar Chatman; nephews, Dylan Harris and Miguel Jr.; uncles, Eddie Hamm of Atlanta, GA, Willie Hamm of Griffin, GA, Allen Hamm of Barnesville, GA, Eddie (Joy) Freeman of Juliette GA, David (Lisa) Freeman of North Carolina, Daniel (Bobbie) Freeman of Griffin, GA; aunts Annie Ruth Hamm of Barnesville, GA, Elaine Banks (Rev. William S.) of Hampton, GA; a host of cousins and many dear friends who will truly miss his presence, winning personality and contagious smile.
