Obituary For Derrick Steven Johnson

Derrick Steven Johnson 61, Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 p. m. at Goolsby Mortuary, 1375 Jonesboro Road, SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. He was born August 23, 1959 in Decatur, Georgia to Sam Johnson, Jr and Verna Kinsey Johnson. Derrick grew up in Decatur, GA and attend Avondale High School, it was there he still holds the High Jump Record of 6 feet 3 inches; he graduated with class of 1977. After Graduation he enlisted into the United State Army; Derrick completed four year of active duty and two years on reserve. He returned home in 1981 and attended Dekalb Community College; he received an Associate of Science and Engineering in Automotive Repair. Derrick is survived by his three brothers and their families and friends.
