Obituary For Major (Ret.) James Winston Bonds

Major (Ret.) James Winston Bonds passed away at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on September 26, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born April 11, 1936 in Thompson Station, Tennessee to the parents of Callie Terrell and John Henry Bonds.

Major Bonds leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Loretta Loleta Bonds; children, Dwight N. (Aslyn) Bonds, Bertram B. (Wanda) Bonds, James Winston Bonds, Jr., James Wendell Bonds, Monya (Vince) Dade and Loleta Dixon; bonus sons, Alex Naddell and Scotty Travis; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 7 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

*** Due to COVID-19 there is a limit of how many people can enter the chapel at a time but everyone will be allowed to flow in to view as well as speak to the family and flow back out to allow others the same opportunity. In order to enter the funeral home for viewing you MUST have on a mask per new regulation for the funeral home. You are responsible for supplying your own masks as well ***

Major Bonds will lie in state on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 2 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10 until 11 at Waters Funeral Home Chapel, 1408 Columbia Avenue, with funeral to begin at 11:00. Elder James Coure, eulogist.

Interment 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, Tennessee.
