Guest Book

To Vic, Monte, Annie, Weldon, and the Extended Family: I have imagined Bernice after her ascension to God's Kingdom. She is wearing pure flowing, white robes, covered with stars, as befits an angel who has returned to Heaven after a long sojourn on earth. She wears golden sandals on her feet, and upon her head is a golden crown. She has been freed from earthly chains and exudes joy for having beheld the face of The Savior. It was Jesus who first loved her and, on those occasions when He Alone carried her through good times and bad, He left footprints in the sand that we might follow. The pain of this moment will eventually subside. The grief we share at her passing, will give way to only the sweetest memories of who Bernice Hawkins Davis was, and why we loved her so. May light perpetual shine upon her. May she rest in peace. D. Cassandra Fletcher, Ph.D. Silver Spring, Maryland
