Good person, good memories. Zelean was one of the friendliest persons we've ever met. But most of all, she genuinely loved and cared for her family and friends. That was always displayed in her joy when surrounded by those she loved so dearly. We deeply feel for the loss of such a great friend and we mourn along with Gene, Donna and Carla. May the Lord grant Zelean's soul eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon her. Brenda and Carlos Collazo

Your face strikes upon my eyes as pure beauty and your soul comes through me and fills me up with joy. I will miss your laugh and gentle hugs. Through the seasons you gave your heart to our family. In the hot summer we gather at your home and enjoy the fruits of your labor through the best watermelons! In the fall you cooked with love and joy. I could taste it every Thanksgiving. You gave me so much in life and I will miss it. I am choosing to take what you gave and give it to my family. Auntie thanks for inspiring me to be the best mom. Thak-you for being an excellent leader for our family to prosper. I am going to miss you in my life but I have what you gave. As the seasons past I will become more thoughtful &. grateful of the times I spent with you. I love you and so thankful you were my aunt! Love Alisha Williams

Dear mourning community, we are sending our deepest condolences for your loss from Saalfeld, Germany. You are in our thoughts and our hearts are with you in this time of sorrow. Due to the distance we were rarely able to see Zelean, but we will be keeping her in our memories and hearts forever. We still remember the time spent together in 2012 during their Germany trip with Matt & Carla to celebrate our wedding. Celebrating Matts and Michael 40th birthdays in the US with Zelean and her family are also unforgettable memories. Unfortunately we were unable to see each other this year due to the pandemic and we are sorry that the insidious disease took her life far to soon. Connected with you in your grief, in love Detlef with Beate and grandmother Anneliese

"To lose someone you love, is to alter your life forever. The pain stops, there are new people, but the gap never closes. This hole in your heart is the shape of the one you lost, no one else can fit it." Jeanette Winterson Zelean will be leaving a void that can not be filled, she has been welcoming to me on many occasions and always made me feel as part of the family. Luckily I was able to get to know her and will be able to look back at great memories of time spend together, from celebrating holidays and anniversaries together, to staying at Eugene & Zeleans house in Augusta or traveling to Germany together with them. She will be greatly missed and I'm sorry for your loss. Michael

Husband Gene,Daughters Donna & Carla Zelean received a warm, loving welcome from the Lord, when she had awakens in the world of spirits, she's continuing her journey but in a far more beautiful place. She's reunited with those she love. Father(Red) Mother(Janie) Brother (Jerome) and other family members she love. Zelean has entered into a new life in a heavenly society. She will never grow old,but will always be young. GOD can reduce our suffering but will not save us from Death, it's the rule we have to obey there is no getting out of death. Zelean is at home now because being in the Father's present is a place call HOME!!! About a year ago I spent Thanksgiving with her and the rest of my family. I Was so thankful to have spent time with family. Zelean was attentive and low keyed, so down to earth she went all out for her family. I called her some months ago to check on her. She told me she fail out of the recliner and hurt her wrist, so I said to her I never heard any body falling out of a recliner, so we both kept laughing about it, I still laugh when I think about it. Love & will miss you See you in the morning !!! Sue Bullock - Cuz

Aunt Zelean was a beautiful person and great auntie! There are so many memories that I could share. She taught me many life lessons that I continue to share with others today. One of my fondest childhood memories is making homemade pizza (crust, sauce and all) on Friday nights with the family. I remember being so excited on those days; I looked forward to the evenings when the creative pie process came together! To this day (40 + years later), I still make homemade pizzas...I actually made one this past Friday night in memory of Auntie. She was my "Martha Stewart" before I knew of Martha Stewart. I will miss everything about her, but mostly I'll miss our conversations, her lovely smile and contagious laughter. My heart and prayers go out to Eugene, Carla and Donna. May God continue to comfort and strengthen you during this challenging time...He will bring you through the grief. Blessed be the family.
