Mr. Matthew Jones, affectionately known as “Mack” to his family and friends, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina at Lancaster. He was the son of the late Leo Jones Sr. and Mary Jane Moore Jones. He was born on April 6, 1947 in Lancaster County, South Carolina.

Matthew accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He continued his education in career and technology. He earned a certification in auto mechanics.

Left to cherish his memories are three children, LeTisha Murphy of Dallas, TX., Patrice Neal of Atlanta, GA and Quincy Jones (Yulonda) of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Leo Jones, Jr. (Hattie) of Lancaster, SC and two granddaughters.

A private service will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Reverend Eddie Moore and Rev. Dr. Bennie L. Stinson.
