Obituary For Eddie Mack McCray

Mr. Eddie Mack McCray of Panama City and formerly of Headland, Alabama entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 4th at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. He was 80 years old.

Eddie Mack McCray was born January 19, 1940 in Henry County, Headland, Alabama. He was the son of the late Bishop Eddie and Mackie Lee McCray.

He was a graduate of the Class of 1959 at Rosenwald High School in Panama City, FL. Eddie worked as a Brick Mason for over 45 years in the Bay and Jackson County areas until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, music, and cooking. He leaves to cherish his memories to his children – Maxie (Joe) Smiley, Panama City, FL; Terrance (Brenda) McCray, St. Petersburg, FL; Anthony McCray, Panama City, FL; Nikita (Robin) McCray, Ogden, UT; Kevin (Amy) McCray, Fayetteville, NC; Regina Hunter, Clearwater, FL; Towanda (John) Garner, Columbus, Ga; his grandchildren, one sister – Johnnie Mae Scott of Trenton, NJ, and a host of other relatives and friends who all loved him dearly.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. graveside Sunday, October 11th at Hillside Cemetery with Elder Joe Smiley, Pastor Corey Tobias and Pastor Tommy Bell officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
