Isabella was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Bro. Marshall Keeble, who was an African American Minister of the Church of Christ. Isabella attended Dasher High School.
Isabella met and married the late, Mr. Willie Lee Harrell. She worked as a loving caregiver for her mother, Mrs. Carra Butler and her father, Mr. Charlie Lee Butler. While caring for her parents, she also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, currently known as Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside.
In addition to her parents, Isabella is preceded in death by her sisters, Charlie Mae Cooper and Louise McCaskill; one granddaughter, Pamela Monique Brown; three great grandchildren, William Wright, Jr., Austin Brown and Kyren Walker.
On Friday, October 9, 2020, Isabella was called from labor to rest at Pruitt Health -Crestwood.
Isabella leaves to cherish her memories five children, Carolyn Brown (K.C.), Artis Harrell, Ric Harrel (Nora), Laurette Johnson (Charles) and Leslie Straughter (Anthony); eighteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, neighbors and friends.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Southview Cemetery, 2065 Clay Road, Valdosta, GA 31601. Bro. Eric Cureton, officiating.
Public viewing will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
