OBITUARY

MRS. MARY CYPRESS GREEN, daughter of the late John and Mary Malone Cypress was born March 31, 1927 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life October 6, 2020 in Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD at the young age of 93.

At an early age she was baptized and joined Pleasant Hill RZUA Church. She attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. Mary later moved to Washington, DC where she met and married Randolph Green.

She was employed at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1992.

After the death of her husband she moved back to Virginia. She reaffirmed her membership with Pleasant Hill RZUA Church where she was a member of the Pastor’s Aide and Missionary Society. Mary resided in South Hill, VA until 2010 when she moved with her son, Roland Hayes Cypress and daughter-in-law, Patricia, in Clinton, MD. In 2014, Roland passed and Patricia cared for her until her death.

Mary is also survived by her grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
