Obituary For Clarence H. Malone

Clarence H. Malone was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on September 15, 1935 to Henry and Beulah Rice Malone. He was a graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he was a supervisor of food service. Anyone that knew Mr. Malone knew that he was more than a cook he was a chef. Many years past his retirement from the military, he worked as a nutrition supervisor for MCAEOC Head Start. Mr. Malone was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Mr. Malone passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at his home at the age 85. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Nannie Carmel Malone of the home, two daughters, Jacqueline Malone and Jacelin ( Jonathan) Malone-Hill both of Atlanta, Georgia; his beloved granddaughter; Lailah Royster of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Elbert ( Phillis) Staten of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Gerry (Suzette) Barnes of Okemos, Michigan; two sisters, Delores (Myron) Freeman of East Lansing, Michigan; and Carolyn Richardson of Lansing, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends. A walk-through visitation will be held Tuesday, October20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. until services began at 12:00 noon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 809 East Main Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Reverend Rickey Everett is the pastor. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Church. Reverend Rickey Everett is the eulogist. Burial will take place at New Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia, Mississippi on Thursday, October 22, 2020. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions social distancing will be required. Face masks are mandated to attend the visitation and funeral services. McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of services and arrangements.
