Obituary For Mrs. Carrie Belle Dorsey Lawrence

Carrie Belle Dorsey Lawrence, 95, of Orlando, Florida transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Carrie was born on April 19, 1925 in Madison, Georgia to Jannie and Bill Dorsey. Professionally, she worked alongside her husband, Mr. J.T. Lawrence, as an accounting assistant with their tax business.

She was a member of Trinity CME Church, Augusta, Georgia for several years prior to relocating to Orlando, Florida. While at Trinity, she participated in numerous ministries such as the choir, Sunday School Teacher, Leader of the White Rose Circle, started the Soup Kitchen Ministry and ushered just to name a few.

Carrie dedicated her life to service, her family and community. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was the matriarch of the Lawrence family, who instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow.

Carrie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: devoted daughter, Sylvia (Russell) Lawrence Warren; one granddaughter, Kayah Warren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, 10:00AM at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1000 Bethune Drive, Orlando with Father Charles T. Myers, officiating. Final services and burial will take place in Augusta, Georgia Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at12:00 noon with Reverend Dr. Timothy Green, eulogist.
