Obituary For Joe Camp

Mr. Joe Lewis Camp, 57, of 2214 Stony Point Road Waco, NC passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC. He was born on March 23, 1963 in Cleveland County, NC to Dorothy Camp Watkins and the late Bobby Gene Watkins.

Joe was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Joe also known as “Short Dog” loved to dance, shop and smell good. He will always be remembered for lifting people up and making them smile. He loved his family especially his children and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Dorothy Watkins; his children, Joe Camp, Jr. and daughter Jasmine Camp, Orlando Whisnant and children, Keyona, Layona and Taveon Whisnant, Sharee Camp and son, Maurice Parson, Jasmine Camp, August Archie and Monterio Wilson; siblings, Michael Camp (Lisa), Diane Camp (Bert), Tammy Robinson (Calvin), Lisa Watkins (James), Angela Littlejohn and Paula Key; special friend, Angel Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Camp will be private. Mr. Camp can be viewed on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a reception of friends from 3:30 PM until 4:00 PM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, NC. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
