Steven Thomas was born on February 27, 1964, in St. Louis, MO to Dessie Thomas-Harvey and James Brown. He was the third child of five children. He was a member of Greater Mt. Sinai M.B. Church where he later joined Greater Antioch M.B. Church. Steven was a 1982 graduate of Lanier High School. In 1984, Steven Thomas worked at East Ford Inc. as a new car detailer. He later joined Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Environmental Services, and then employed at Walmart Supercenter until his health failed. Steven was preceded in death by his stepfather Mr. Leroy Harvey; his father, James Brown and his brother, Michael Thomas of Jackson, MS. Steven J. Thomas leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving mother, Dessie Harvey; two children: LaTerrio Deonte Williams (Jessica) and Ashtin Latese Thomas; one brother, Anthony Thomas of Orlando, FL; two sisters: Phyllis Thomas and Chery Taylor (Antonio) of Jackson, MS; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews: LaToya Thomas, LaShundra Thomas, Demarchias Thomas, Timothy Johnson, Jr. and TaSheanna Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.
