Obituary For Martha Sumrall Verdell

Martha Sumrall Verdell, 58, of Hastings, FL was born on Friday, October 2, 1962 to Willard & Martha Sumrall. She received her education from the St. Johns County School District and later graduated from at Hastings High School class of 1980. Martha loved fishing and spending time with family. She worked for Ideal Division for 25 years.

In addition to her father’s death, she was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Lawerence Sumrall; niece, Latisha Sumrall; father-in-law, Frank Verdell; mother-in-law, Dorothy Verdell.

She leaves to cherish her memories, spouse, Frank Verdell, Jr.; mother, Martha Sumrall; grandmother, Ethel Cicero; sons, Steven Dewitt Jr., Kevis Verdell, Trevis Verdell, Freddie Freeman, Jr.; daughters, Robyn ( Erich) Terry, Tralisa Verdell; brothers, Willard Williams, Clarence Sumrall, Rodney (Kathy) Sumrall, Eddie Sumrall; sisters, Felicia (Corry) Sumrall, Margaret (Sam) Scavella, Mary Jean Denson; sister-in-laws, Tammy Verdell, Wanda Verdell; grandkids, Jayden Roberts, Taylor Humphrey, Kayden Humphrey, Evan Terry, Braylen Hamilton, & Ji’ya Dewitt; special friends, Diane McMillan, Towanda Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.

The Verdell Family will receive friends and the community on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m. at Coleman’s Mortuary Family Chapel. The Homegoing Celebration will be 10:30a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at The Lord’s Temple City of Refuge, Bishop Thomas Cave III, Pastor and Elder Christopher T. Coleman, eulogist. The burial will be in Pattersonville Cemetery, East Palatka, FL.
