Robert McCoy, Jr. was born on November 28, 1943 in Madison, Georgia to the late Luther Robert McCoy and the late Emma Ponder McCoy. He received his education in the school systems of Morgan County and sometime afterward he achieves a CDL License and with his love of being on the road, this led to a career of driving trucks for a living. Mr. McCoy worked for the JWL Milk Company in Eatonton, Georgia until retirement and then part time for the Peach Stat Transportation Company until is passing. Mr. McCoy was a kind, loving and friendly person, who cared deeply for his family and would try to help anyone if he could. He was also gentle and funny and would rarely be seen without a smile on his face. On the afternoon of Tuesday October 27th, 2020 Mr. McCoy peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Ga. In addition to parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: Carlton McCoy, Luther McCoy, Jr. Jerry McCoy & Tommy Lee McCoy and one sister Mary Ann McCoy.

Robert McCoy leaves behind his loving wife Fairy B. Stallings McCoy; three sons: Robert McCoy, Jr. and wife Sharon McCoy, Randy McCoy and wife Ketieke McCoy, and Eric McCoy and wife Deangela McCoy; three daughters: Mary L. Johnson and husband Robert Johnson, Jr., Tonya M. Trawick McCoy and husband Talverton Taylor and Emma R Vincent and husband Mitchell Vincent; three stepsons: James Garth, Randy Garth & Jim Aikens; two step daughters: Carolyn Richards and Pamela Mobley; one adopted son: mario (M.J. ) Griggs; 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends
