My very first job as a certified teacher was at the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring, GA. As a young new teacher, I quickly realized what an awesome experience I was afforded working under the supervision of such a phenomenal woman as was Mrs. Owens. Her kindred spirit and unwavering work ethic were never misunderstood nor overlooked.... These fond memories of Mrs Owens resonated with me throughout my teaching career. So as we reflect on the well lived life of our Sister Vera, I pray for Comfort and Peace among her children and other family members. God is our refuge in times of grief and sorrow. May He continue to protect and keep you as you mourn the loss of your beloved family member and friend. With MUCH LOVE and RESPECT Sammie Glover
