Obituary For Cass Wilks

Mrs. Cass Christine Wilks, 73, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her residence. She is the daughter of the late Cass and Arnetha Hawthorne.

She was a member of Greater Deliverance Worship Ministry where she was an usher, Communion Leader, Mother of Church, Pastorial Committee, and Janitor.

Mrs. Wilks retired from Five County Child Development where she was a cook. She loved working crossword puzzles, watching soap operas and enjoying time with family and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Silver Creek Baptist Church, New Hebron, Mississippi at 1pm.

She is survived by: sons, Richard Wilks and James Wilks, Jr. both of Mize, MS; daughter, Roseanna Wilks of Mize, MS; brother, John Berry of Prentiss, MS; sisters, Shirley Mikell and Joyce Berry both of Las Vegas, NV; Helen Olsen of Riversive, CA and Francine Ross of Prentiss, MS; grandchildren: 6; great-grandchildren: 7

Visitation will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-8pm.

Prayers lifted for the entire family as Chris will be truly missed by many. Chris was the life of any event because she would keep one laughing about something. We enjoyed spending time with Ms. Wilks. She always had encouraging words. She attended my husband and I 20th wedding anniversary in May at our home. Her granddaughter, TreAnn, is the mother of our niece Ava. TreAnn and Brianna are so very special to our family. We loved Ms. Christine. She will be greatly missed.
