I love you Grandad, Always and forever! You were the first example of what a real man is. You were my first example of a dad and you showed us that and exemplified that in so many ways. I will always cherish the many memories from my childhood. I always remembered seeing you either going to work or coming from work. I remember how me and Ashley would get excited hearing the garage door open at night because you were arriving home and that meant we could sneak downstairs and ask for some fried green tomatoes lol And you'd give us some and say "Now hurry back upstairs and get in bed for your grandma come getcha!" Or how you'd sometimes just take us for a ride. Or that one time we asked you to take us trick or treating and buy us Halloween costumes even though it would go against grandma's religion lol. Or whenever our teeth were loose you'd pull out the pliers and just snatch it out. Even though you worked, you ALWAYS made time for us. Even in my early 20's when I was still trying to figure out this thing called life and hit a few bumps in the road, you welcomed me and my children with open arms and an open heart. I could go on and on lol and I really hate I didn't get to attend your funeral. To be honest, I haven't even grieved until now as I'm typing, tears are flowing. I never heard you complain and I can honestly say I've never heard one bad thing about you. I will miss you but your memory will forever live in my heart. Fly high Grandad
