Obituary For John David Stewart, Sr

The Obituary John David Stewart Sr. was born on September 9, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles Stewart and Clara Brame (Stewart). A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, John Stewart, died on October 30, 2020. John David Stewart Sr. was a graduate of Roth high-school in 1982. John was one of five children from his parents, Darrell, Denise, Thomas, and Damon (Yolanda). He also had many siblings on his father’s side. John was the father of seven children, India, Tyeshia, John Jr., David, Caleb; adopted children, Charles and Markita; and a Godson, Jaton Brooks, who he loved as his own. John is survived by five grandchildren, Cameron, Armani, Dashon, Chayden, and Daveah. John met his loving wife, Arita, in 1991 and during that relationship they had their son, David Stewart, but that was just the beginning of their story. John became a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Herman & Diane H. Walker. Later in life John and Arita were reconnected and then married. John married Arita Stewart (Brown) on June 24, 2006, and to that union they adopted Charles and Markita Stewart. After marriage, John decided to join with his wife His family later decided to move to Florence, AL in 2016 where they joined Christ Worldwide Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Theron & Pastor Tracy Brown, Sr. John was a devoted church officer/deacon to Christ Worldwide Ministries. He was a faithful servant at the church until his death. He touched the lives of many people with his love, generosity, and kindness. He will be forever missed.
