Obituary For Earline Hairston

Earline Hairston, 69, of Martin Ln, Axton, VA, departed this life on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at UNC Rockingham Hospital, Eden, N.C. She was born in Henry County VA on July 18, 1951 to the late Ernest Hairston and the late Lucindia Giles Hairston.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by one sister, Ella Hairston and eight brothers, Joe H. Hairston, Eddie R. Hairston, Lewis Hairston, Thomas Hairston, Ernest Hairston Jr., George Hairston, James Hairston, and Fletcher Adams. Ms. Hairston attended G.W. Carver High School and later went on to work for Fieldcrest where she retired after 33 years of service. She was a member of Only Way Church of Christ in Eden NC.

She left behind to cherish her memory two sons David E. Hairston of Martinsville, VA and Antonio Levon Hairston of Axton VA, one daughter Latergra R. Hairston of Axton, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Ms. Hairston will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020, 2 P.M. at the Giles Family Cemetery, Norman Lane, Axton, VA with Minister Arnold Bullock officiating. A public viewing will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Hairston Funeral Home from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing will be required. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my dear friend Earlene.She was so sweet, kind and humble. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I will continue to pray for the family.
