Ms. Alberta Jane Cousin Mason, better known as Ms. Bee, was born June 25, 1938 to the late Johnny Cousin and Pearline Monroe Cousin Mitchell. She departed this life on Friday November 6, 2020 at Duke Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Willie B. Mason, whom she was very devoted to, three children (Tracy Mason, Willie B. Mason Jr, and Coquita Mason), one brother (Ralph Cousin), and one sister (Josephine Ethel Lee Cousin).

Ms. Mason attended Durham Public Schools. She was employed by The Hilton Inn in Durham NC, from which she retired as a housekeeper. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and attended The New Freewill Church of the Living God and Russell Memorial Church. She gave her life to Christ and was dedicated to learning the word of God.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories, Four daughters; Wilhelmina M. Thompson, Iris D. Mason, Evelyn D. Mason, and Kathryn D. Mason (Phillip) all of Durham, NC. Three sons; Shelley E. Mason of Charlotte NC, Travis L. Mason, and Christopher C. Mason both of Durham, NC. One sister Mattie Hopkins of Durham N.C. Eighteen grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 7 great, great grandchildren. Three nieces Glenda, Gertie Mae, and Deborah, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 13, 2020, 11:00 am in the chapel of American Cremation & Funeral Service.
