Obituary For William Earl Leonard

William Earl Leonard, 39, of Palatka, FL was born on Tuesday, November 4, 1980 to Earl W. Jones & Rose Leonard Cooper in Palatka, FL. He enjoyed fishing and playing basketball. William was affectionately known as “Earl”. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid fan of Jacksonville Jaguars Football Team. Earl received his education in the Putnam County School District.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in eternal rest by his grandparents, Simon & Rozie Lee Washington, Jack & Betty Leonard, Ira Nickson; uncle, Simon Leonard.

He leaves to cherish his many memories: mother, Rose (Lamar) Cooper of Palatka, FL; sisters, Valdine (Thomas) Duah, Vicky Gibbs, Tiffany (Arthur) Coley, all of Palatka, FL; brothers, Andrew Word, Charles (Archavette) Word, both of Palatka, FL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.

The Leonard Family will receive friends and the community on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Passionate First Born Church of the Living God, Superintendent James Mathews, Pastor. The Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Passionate First Born Church of the Living God. His brother-in-law, Assistant Pastor Arthur Coley, eulogist. The burial will take place in Oak Hill – West Cemetery, Palatka, FL.
