Obituary For Sylvester Orr

Sylvester “Studebaker” Orr was born in Dell, Arkansas on January 26, 1955 to Jasper and Mattie Sanders Orr. Sylvester was a fun-loving guy that enjoyed playing cards, hanging out with his friends, and participating in the New Mount Olive Baptist Church Samaritan Feeding Ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Chris Orr, four sisters, Irma Gene Jones, Patsy Hudson, Cora Mae Joe and Catherine Taylor, one grandson, Tim Bryant, Jr. Sylvester departed his life Friday, November 6, 2020 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 65. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Chawntaiel Burrowes of Holiday, Florida; four brothers; Fred(Gwendolyn) Orr, Eddie Lee Orr, Leon Orr all of Blytheville, Arkansas; and Leo (Fran) Orr of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Willie Mae Young of Blytheville, Arkansas; and his “Special Friend” Carla Kidd also of Blytheville, Arkansas; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Mr. Orr will be announced by the family at a later date. McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of services and arrangements.
