Douglas Webb was born on December 20, 1957 in Oglethorpe, Georgia to the late Mary Webb Boone. He was raised in the city of Greensboro by his mother and stepfather James A. Boone. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020. He was a 1975 Graduate of Grimsley High School. Upon graduating from high school he worked for Lambs Distributing Company. He later worked for McKinley Furniture. He worked as a Supervisor for the Budd Group and his last work assignment was with Muirs Chapel and Westover Church.

He was married to his wife Theresa and to that union they had two children Jennifer Webb and Clarence Webb. They also have one beloved grandson Jevon Webb. Duck as he was passionately called by his family and friends was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew and uncle. He was the glue that held the family together.

He loved to cook and entertain his family and friends with the gift of music. He and his son Clarence would D.J. for various events throughout the city of Greensboro. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Theresa Webb of the home. Daughter Jennifer Webb, Son Clarence Webb, Grandson Jevon Webb, Sisters Mary Williams, Janice Rorie (Tyrone), Ella Williams (Jerry), Tijuana B. Hayes, Brothers Ernest Verdell and Kennedy Durham, Beloved Aunts Dorothy Young, Zera Mae Austin, Lula Bell Webb and Angela Murray, favorite nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A private memorial service, to honor his life, will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
