James Ellis Malone, 60, a resident of 646 Troy Street, Durham, N.C. suddenly departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C. He was born November 21, 1959 in Durham, N.C. to Charles and Essie Malone.

James attended the Durham Public Schools. He worked with Shaw Construction, Robert Lee Shaw, Abraham Shaw. He was the handy man on Troy Street. You could count on him to assist you with any task that you needed. James was a very loving and positive individual who would always encourage you.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Betty McGirt, two brother's, Charles Malone, Virgil Malone of the home and a host of other relatives and friends of the Troy Street and East Durham Community.

Memorial services will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2200 South Alston Avenue 27707 at 11:00 a.m. The memorial will be held out doors due to the covid pandemic.

Masks are to be worn and social distancing required at all meetings with family and friends.

All acts of kindness are appreciated during this difficult time.
