Obituary For Jeremiah Lamar Terry

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremiah Lamar Terry, 26, of the Terry Hill community of Yemassee, SC. Jeremiah Lamar Terry, a son of Johnnie Mae Terry Gibson (Ron), moved from mortality to immortality on Friday, November 13th at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. He attended the Wade Hampton High School of Varnville, SC. While he has held various forms of employment he is noted as a groomsman and jockey of horses. The joy of his memories are etched forever in the tapestry of time. It is the light of those memories that will bring peace and comfort to the hearts of family and friends.

Visitation: Friday, November 20th, 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.

Graveside service: Saturday, November 21st, 2:00 pm in the Ellis Cemetery, Yemassee, SC.

ALL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED IN KEEPING WITH THE CDC GUIDELINES IN LIGHT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC...SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MASK.

I'm so sorry I am just hearing about this. My fondest memories of Jeremiah was in his youth he enjoyed horses so much. I remember when he taught my son's how to ride and keep up the horses they really enjoyed that and it was because the passion that he had for what he did. My condolences to Mrs. Johnnie Mae and Mr. Ron and the entire family.

I'm very sorry to hear of Jeremiah passing he was a very wonderful person I had the chance to meet him on Hilton Head he was very respected and kind hearted always called me auntie because my nephew was his friend I will miss his smile and handsome face sleep in paradise god love

My name Is Pastor Isaac Gordon.. our Ministry Bountiful Word Min. Was in Terryhill when Jeremiah and his brothers were kids... My heart is to heavy right now....It diidnt matter what time of night I got to church, it could be 1am and they saw the light on these kids would walk across the road and be there with me...play on the instruments, help me with the grass, bring their uncles horses for everyone to ride on Sunday afternoons.. I shared the gospel of Christ with Jeremiah when he was just a boy, my heart is so hurt right now. But family Johnnymae our prayers are with you. Love you guys around the stars and back...
