Obituary For Bertha Walker

Bertha Marie Walker Chenevert known to many as Mrs. Mann resident and native of Morgan City passed away November 10, 2020 in Baton Rouge, LA at Our Lady Of The Lake. Visitation will be observed on Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 8 am-11 am service at 11 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 507 Fourth Street in Morgan City, LA.Burial will follow funeral service in the Morgan City Cemetery. Memories of Bertha will forever remain in the hearts of her three daughters: Martoaka Mann, Shontel and Courtnie Chenevert, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, John Chenevert Jr., her parents Junious and Patricia Walker Jr., her son Darwin Mann, 2 grandsons Geremiah Thibodeaux and Stewart Granger Jr., and four brothers Junious “Billy”, Charles “CW”, Warren, and Lionel Peter Walker. Hall and Davis of Baton Rouge, LA in charge of arrangements.

I was so sorry to hear Burt had past. I am a cousin, Carolyn LaStrappe. You have fond memories and pictures to remember Burt and with time it will fill your hearts that she remains that wonderful mom, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin in your family. As time continues healing follows. Keep your faith strong in the Lord and also keep your communation strong with each other. Be there for each other and love and peace will fill your hearts.
