Mr. Ronnie Graves

Ronnie Earl Graves was born in Welch, WV. on March 3, 1964. He is preceded in death by his mother, Delsenia McKinney; step-father, Rosevelt McKinney.

He spent some of his childhood in Gary, WA., Hartford, CT. and Detroit, MI. Ronnie attended the school systems in the towns that are named. He was a member of the Gary High School Marching Band, where he learned how to play the trumpet.

Ronnie was a loving husband, son, father, and brother. He was a kind and caring person who expressed his affection for his loved ones without hesitation. He was a hard worker and would work as many jobs needed to meet his financial obligations. Ronnie enjoyed cooking, going to the beach, the casino, and spending time with family and friends. He also made an active effort to reach out to family members to say “hello” and tell them that he “loved” them.

Ronnie had a great love for his family, and leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Corita Graves of Beaumont, CA; a brother, Charles Davis Jr. of NC; three children, Ronnie Green, Randie Graves both of NY and Diamond Alabi-Isama of CA; his step-father, Charles Davis Sr. of AL; four step children, children, Chykira Lyons, Chinia Lyons, Calek Lyons, and Cjae Lyons all of CA: grandchildren, Isaiah Fuller-Graves and Syrai Carty-Graves; step-brother, Frank Eady and step-sister, Julie Eady both of CT; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ronnie will be missed by all that knew him. He liked to joke around with his loved ones and his final words to them was, “I love you”. A private graveside service will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at Carolina Biblical Gardens.
