Lula Evon Johnson Rhodes, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Hunter-Odom Funeral Service, 121 S. Fairview Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801 with Reverend Reginald Bradshaw, officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane.

Visitation 1 hour to the service.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ms. Lula Rhodes. I met Ms. Lula some years ago when I worked at Quality Laundry. I knew there was something special about her. We always talked about church and education. I will truly miss seeing her. Family, may God comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time.

I visited St.John one day with my son Cameron- immediately that day "Mother Rhodes" made sure we knew the connection she had with children. He could always look forward to receiving something in the mailbox or something being dropped off for him to enjoy. Calendar of the President, sweet treats, things to practice writing-you name it. It was a blessing to be blessed by her... November 4,2020 ... She requested pictures of my son. It blesses me so much that she wanted to see him before God Granted her wings to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. To God Be The Glory, we love and adore Mother Rhodes forever -Rayshoun C.
