Obituary For Hazel Hooker

Mrs. Hazel Lee Hooker, 72, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, MS.

She is the daughter of the late Alonzo and Lucille Hartzog. She was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ where she was President of the Usher Board.

Mrs. Hooker retired from Sanderson Farms. She loved singing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon. Interment will be in Sweet Beulah Gardens Cemetery, Prentiss, Mississippi.

She is survived by: son, Joe Hooker, Jr. of Carson, MS; daughters, Thelma Hooker, Danetta Jones, Veronica Hooker and Felicia Hooker all of Prentiss, MS; Brenda Pittman of Memphis, TN; brotehrs, Charlie C. Fairley and Cleveland Hartzog both of Prentiss, MS; John Fairley of Jackson, MS; sisters, Betty Price and Lucy Hartzog both of Prentiss, MS; Mary Barnes of Silver Creek, MS and Ruthie Washington of Magee, MS; grandchildren: 22; great-grandchildren: 26

Visitation will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-5pm; family hour: 5-6pm.
