Kathy was born in 1948 in East Haven, CT, to Bertha Hopkins and Richard Lamb, Sr.. She graduated from West Haven High School in 1966. She moved throughout her life and made strong friendships in San Antonio, TX; Cape Coral, FL; York, SC; and New Haven, CT.
She retired in 2009 from Time-Warner Cable as a sales coach after 20 years of service. Her co-workers remember her as someone who encouraged them to treat customers with kindness.
Through her recovery fellowship, she related to and inspired others struggling with the disease of addiction. She worked the steps and lived her last 10 years in sobriety. She loved deeply and gave so much to others.
Kathy was satisfied to live long enough to vote a straight Democratic ticket and see Biden and Harris win the 2020 election for the sake of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Zareen Kapadia of Durham, NC, and Navaz Kapadia of New York, NY; the father of Kathy’s children, Sam Kapadia; her grandchildren, Lucinda, Kai, and Kole; and her younger sister, Randi Lamb-Jordan of Bethlehem, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Richard Lamb, Jr.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Kathy Lamb to The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina 1924 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27604 or your local Food Bank.
