Mahlon Patrick Monroe Sr. was born April 20, 1963 in Bladen County in North Carolina. Mahlon departed his beautiful life on November 20, 2020 at the age of 57 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbert Monroe and Doris V. Monroe.

Mahlon is survived by his wife Sandra Monroe; one son, Mahlon P.H. Monroe Jr. and one daughter, Shalon Monroe; two brothers, Michael Monroe and Stephone Monroe; one sister, Kimberly Monroe; one grandson, Nasir Mahlon Monroe and other loving relatives and friends.

Mahlon was an extremely hard working man and loved to take care of his family all the time. He loved basketball, football, cooking, joking with his family/friends, and going fishing.

Graveside service will be held at Glennview Memorial Park, 2515 NC Hwy 55, Durham, NC on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 12 noon.

Masks are to be worn and social distancing required at all meetings, visits and services. All acts of kindness are appreciated during this difficult time.
