Obituary For Kirk Kelley

Funeral service for Mr. Kirk Kelley, 63, will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Dr. Matthew Leonard will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in the Antioch Church Cemetery. Attendance for the service will be limited.

Mr. Kirk Kelley was born on May 30, 1957, in Talladega County, Alabama to the union of Willie B. Kelley and Rosie Mae Garrett Kelley.

Mr. Kelley accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Kirk was a member of the 1977 graduating class of Talladega County Training School. He enlisted in the United States military and served from 1980-1988. By trade, Kirk worked as a millwright for a number of years. He enjoyed playing cards when he had free time. On February 25, 2000, Kirk took the hand of the former Diana M. Isom in holy matrimony and their love brought together their family of seven children.

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, the sun set on Mr. Kelley’s earthly life. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Willie B. and Rosie M. Kelley; a son, Kirk Kelley, Jr.; a brother, Willie C. Kelley; and a sister, Angela K. Kelley.

Kirk leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Diana M. Kelley of Alpine, Alabama; two daughters, Sharonda (Jeremy) Moore of Alpine, Alabama and Tameka Kelley of Odena, Alabama; one son, Tevin (Irena) Garrett of Alpine, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Teresa Isom of Alpine, Alabama; three stepsons, Kenny (Iiya) Isom of Alpine, Alabama, Corey (Tina Beavers) Dates of Talladega, Alabama and Tavares Dates of Alpine, Alabama; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters, Annette (Perry) Kelley, Karen (Tony) Duncan and Sabrina Kelley of Alpine, Alabama and Gwenn Kelley of Childersburg, Alabama; one brother, Glenn Kelley of Alpine, Alabama; two aunts, Elois Morris of Alpine, Alabama and Maude Swain of Talladega, Alabama; one uncle, Willie E. Garrett of Talladega, Alabama; four sisters-in-law, Nettie R. (Lonnie) Whitson of Talladega, Alabama, Deborah J. (Lernert) Patton, Melba D. Gooden and Jacqueline (Ronald) Gooden of Alpine, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
