Obituary For Mrs. Veleda Smith

MRS. VELEDA SMITH was born on November 29, 1947. She was called home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2020, at University Hospital.

She graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School Class of 1965. Veleda was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Veleda Smith was preceded in death by loving father, Willie Marion Lewis, and mother, Tommie Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her great memories: loving husband, Willie James Smith; son, Phebius Smith; daughter, Ptoleminique Smith; grandson, Tavaune Smith; two brothers, Dennis Lewis (Gloria) of Augusta, Georgia, and Terrance Lewis (Faye) of Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Barbara Owens (Joseph) of Augusta, Georgia, and Patricia Warthern (Rodney) of New York; and a host of other loved ones.
