Britney, I offer my deep condolences to you and your family in the transition of your mother, my friend, Debbie. There are so many wonderful memories I have of Debbie such as the first time she went out with us to serve the homeless, or when I first found out she and my sister attended Walker Street Elementary together or the time a few of us gathered @ SMVBC to pray around the community. We were getting ready to go home and she said y'all done? I laughed and said yes, although sometimes we stop and get a bite to eat. Debbie said let's do that. We went to homegrown that was hers and Barbara's first time. We laughed and ate and made plans for the next outing. I never imagined that would be the last time we fellowshipped together. Debbie was a delight and I will truly miss her and that big contagious smile. May God comfort and strengthen you today and the difficult days and nights ahead. Love, Rev. Charlie Wilson, SMV

To Britney and family. I worked with Ms Debbie at All God's Children. Hey, Ms Debbie was a hard safe to crack but she liked me. Ms Debbie would tell me that I laugh just like her sister in law. One time she tried to get Britney on the phone so she could here me laugh without my knowing. In the mornings I would greet Ms Debbie like this "HAPPY MONDAY MS DEBBIE" she loved it. Now I'm trying to help in an area where I'm totally out of my league, the kitchen. Ms Debbie made miracle meals everyday and the children loved it! Now I'm trying my hand. One day I said Ms Debbie I know you're looking down laughing at me when you should be helping me. I only knew Ms Debbie for a little over a year but it feels like a life time. Ms Debbie I miss you. Britney, I'm praying for you and the family everyday. Sandra Fletcher

I remember my mama driving me and Brit to volunteer at CHOA here in ATL. A'drienna rode with us too and always needed a hug and kiss when we got out the car. Brit, you remember the man on the corner in his biker shorts? Mama would tell us not to laugh and to look away but we couldn't resist. I am sooo so glad that one, mama got to see the start of your success and two, she is now reunited with Dri and Mommie. Love you Brit and never have I stopped. Here for you always.
