Deacon Willie Bruce "Stasko" Simmons, 91, a retired FAMU employee and church leader passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Graveside service will be 12 (Noon) Today, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway. Survivors include, his loving and devoted wife of 67 years Mother Bernice Littleton Simmons; one son, Renwick Darrell Simmons (Sherrie); one caring daughter, Gwendolyn Yvonne Norton; one sister, Versie Mae Webster; one grandchild, Nolan Jarell Norton; two godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Deacon Simmons was a devoted man of God, a leader in our church and in the community growing up in Springfield. He refereed many sporting events I participated in. I love hearing him sang hymns and prayed in church services at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church. My condolences to his family and may God comfort you. Thank you Dea for the much meaningful advice you gave us growing up.
