What a sweet lady! We enjoyed visiting with Betty and Bro Mitchell when he and Bennie's dad were roommates at Helmwood. Bennie was her only U.K. buddy. They reminisced about the old days at Flaherty. We saw her several times after she was a resident at Helmwood. She will be missed here but now she can be with her Heavenly family Sincerely, Bennie, Cindy and Brian Goodman

I met this young lady thru her beautiful daughter Pam. I was accepted as her other daughter and she immediately became my "Mema" too. She was that example for me on my journey that expressed, "Farther Along We'll Know All About It, Farther Along We'll Understand Why ..." ~ Dorothy ~

We gathered at Yodie's one Thanksgiving. We sang "Lead me Jesus, Lead me every where I go". Oh boy didn't we sound good. Ms. Betty was the ring leader. She lead that song and threw in that "Hallelujah now". We could of been on Sunday's Best and WON. She sang with true conviction. My soul was stirred up. I can hear her singing now, Oh take me by my hand and lead me on. Well Ms. Betty, He took your hand and lead you on home so now take your rest...Til we meet again.Ruth

I Love You Mema and I know you are in your final resting place. You ran an excellent graceful race and now your sorrows are all over. Thank You for setting the standards for me and not only tell me but showed me that no matter what I am going through, Get up, dress up, show up, and keep my head up. I thank God that I had you to show me just how to do that. Rest on Mema I'll see you in the morning.
