Hattie Hemingway-Taylor

Hattie L. Hemingway-Taylor, daughter of the late Roberta and John D. Hemingway, was born in Horry County, SC on May 31, 1962. Friday morning, November 27, 2020, God decided to call her home to rest. Hattie accepted Christ and was a member of Mt. Zion Full Gospel Church, formerly Hemingway Chapel Holiness Church, and served as a member for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brother: James A. Hemingway, one brother-in-law: Ralph Taylor Sr., and one sister-in-law: Linda Wilson Gause.

Hattie leaves to celebrate precious memories ~ her husband: Mr. Malikiah Taylor of the home, one daughter: Ms. Mary Hemingway of Atlanta, GA; one son: Floyd (Neketi) Hemingway of Loris, SC; two step-children: Telisa and Malikiah Taylor of Loris, SC; seven granddaughters: Fadreka, Jalah, and Jada Hemingway, Ciara, Shaquana, E’Lexis, and Deiannika Canty all of Loris, SC; seven grandsons: Dequinen Nash of Gaffney, SC, Myhia (Katie) Hemingway of Ithaca, NY, Tyreis Hemingway, Joshua Hemingway, Nyheem Hemingway, Dameion Jr. and Jahmeir Canty all of Loris, SC; four great-granddaughters: Winter Nova Hemingway, Iris Horta of Nichols, SC, Audrianna and Kianna Pitts of Ithaca, NY; two sisters: Mrs. Kandentha (Henry) Hemingway-Moore, Glanice L. Nealy both of Loris, SC; three brothers: Otis Hemingway, Wallace Hemingway, and Harold Hemingway all of Loris, SC; four brothers-in-law: Donnell, Ronnie, Lonnell, and Glendale Taylor; one sister-in-law: Julie Taylor; a special friend: Ms. Foster Tens Jackson; and a hose of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and a community of friends.

Viewing for Mrs. Hattie Hemingway-Taylor will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 5-8pm in the D.L. Grate Memorial Chapel at United Funeral Home LLC. **DUE TO COVID-19, MASK ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.**

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 1pm at Mt. Zion Full Gospel Church, 765 Hemingway Rd. Loris, SC. Assistant Pastor Vercille Woods will be doing the eulogy.
