Porsha Carter was a member of the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC, where at an early age, she served on the Tot Choir, Dance Team, Junior Choir and Sunday School. She was a graduate of Hunter Huss High School. Porsha received a UMA diploma in Medical Administration Assistant and an associate degree. She was employed working with children in a group home as a counselor. She was a devoted sister to her brothers and sisters that she loved very much and would do anything for them. Porsha was the kind and loving person who didn’t mind reaching out where it was needed.
Besides her sister, she was preceded in death by the late Jataria Te’Undra Carter; brother: James Coulter and grandmother: Carolyn Tate.
Porsha leaves to cherish fond memories to her mother: Dina Carter of Gastonia, NC; her father: Roderick Tate of Stanley, NC; three brothers: DeMichael Dee of Gastonia, NC, Malik and James Coulter; three sisters: Ron’naisa Patterson of Gastonia, NC, Raderia Tate and Miracle Tate; one Godson that she loved very much and would do anything for him: Zymeir Lindsey of Gastonia, NC; grandparents: Diane and Don Carter of Gastonia, NC and Leroy Tate of Stanley, NC; three uncles: Don M. Carter, Jr. of Gastonia, NC, Rev. Antwonn Lynch of Ranlo, NC and Leroy “Chop” Blalock of Stanley, NC; one aunt: Shannon Blalock of Stanley, NC; first cousins: Jaylen Carter of Charlotte, NC, Elijah McCaskill of Gastonia, NC and Chasidon Carter of Charlotte, NC, all were close to her heart and a host of great aunts, great uncles, family and friends.

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the church with public viewing
