Mr. Willie Edward Webb (W/W) was born on February 17, 1944 to the union of the late Mr. Berry Jack Webb and the late Mrs. Annie Mae Head-Webb, in McDonough, GA. He was the third oldest of ten children. He received his formal education in the Atlanta Public-School System, where he attended Thomasville Elementary and Luther Justice Price High School. Willie was truly a “Jack of All Trades.” He was employed with Decatur News. He was also an entrepreneur, owning two auto body shops in Kirkwood and East Atlanta on Moreland Avenue. Willie met and later married the love of his life, Ms. Ida Kate Adams, in 1962. They made their home in Decatur, GA. To this union, five children were born to include: Yathaddian Webb, Eric Webb, Derrick Webb, Chantelle Lawrence Webb, and Krista Webb. In 1983, he moved to Thomaston, GA, where he opened Southside Truckstop, T-Town Bus Service, and the famous W/W Used Auto and Body Shop. During this time, he met and married Ms. Surbitha Ware. Willie was dependable and helpful whenever anyone needed him. There was nothing he could not fix or figure out. He even once built a wrecker and rollback tow truck. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who never met a stranger. He was always full of joy and humor, and he left an everlasting impression whenever he left the room. His favorite hobby was fishing! On November 27, 2020, Willie’s earthly journey ended when the Lord whispered his name. He departed this life and entered into eternal rest.
