Obituary For Evelyn Lowery

Ms. Evelyn “Billa” Lowery, 93. entered eternal rest, Monday, November 30, 2020. She was born on September 22, 1927 in Heath Springs, SC. to the late Henry and Bessie Waiters.

Ms. Lowery was a longtime member of St. James Baptist Church and after relocating to South Carolina she became a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

Ms. Lowery began her childhood education at Mt. Carmel School in Heath Springs, SC. She graduated from Cabarrus High School in Kannapolis, NC.

Ms. Lowery graduated from cosmetology school. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years. She continued her working career and retired as an office clerk in 1990.

Ms. Lowery is preceded in death by two children, Barry O. Samuel, and Deloris L. Cole.

Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Brenda Caldwell and Andrea Lowery; two sons, Lewis and Guy Samuel (Norma); grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Saint Paul Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by Reverend George Mingo.
