Obituary For Rodney L Johnson

A Celebration of life for Mr. Rodney Leon Johnson will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 1321 N. Webster Avenue, Lakeland Fl 33805, Senior Pastor Dr. Edward L. Quary, Jr., with Rev. Ricky A. Wiggs, Redeemed Ministries, Inc. eulogist.

Rodney Leon Johnson was born April 29, 1970 to Irene Patricia “Doll” Johnson. Rodney attended Polk County public schools in Lakeland, Florida and was a graduate of Kathleen High School. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. On November 28, 2020, he entered his eternal rest.

Rodney was preceded in death by his mother Irene Patricia “Doll” Johnson, Grand Parents, Eddie L. Johnson and Betty Jean Wiggs Johnson, cousins, Rashad Bennett and Antonio Morris

He leaves to cherish his fondest memories: His Children: Son, Rodney Johnson Jr. and Daughter, Candance Johnson; Sisters: Delores “Niecy” Johnson, Hope D. Hamilton and Syretta Johnson; Brother: Terrance Green; Aunts: Cynthia S. Johnson and Brenda Johnson; Uncles: Lawrence Sanders and Eddie “Beau” Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dearest family and friends.

A-Walk-Thru Viewing will be held on Saturday, 12:00 noon at the church prior to the Celebration of Life Funeral Service. A Mandatory Facial Mask Covering will be in effect to enter services.
